When I was recently playing with my In the City stamp set, I found that I enjoyed pairing the cut images with black cardstock. It really makes the coloured images pop. Today’s Birthday In the City cards are similar, except that the buildings are laid out differently, which meant that the sentiment needed to be placed differently.
I adore Berry Bliss with Basic Black, and the monochromatic look of the houses/ribbon pairs nicely with the black.
But… like so many other people, I also love the Lemon Lime Twist against the black, and these buildings have been stamped with Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay, and Pool Party.
*Tip* When stamping the colours on the buildings, make sure that your stamp is really clean before you pick up the next colour because otherwise you will have weird looking buildings. Ask me how I know.
