Good morning! Today I’m sharing a different type of holiday card, with a completely different colour scheme. In fact, there really isn’t a colour scheme on this Silver Foil Winter Woods card, but it is stunning to look at.
Using a combination of Winter White, Basic Black and Silver, this card is very simple to create. The snowy hills and trees were die cut using the In the Woods Framelits, and the sentiment was embossed in white on the Basic Black cardstock.
The downside of this card is simply that it uses a lot of the Silver Foil. You can get 6 of the larger rectangles from a single Silver Foil sheet, with enough extra to die cut the trees. One pack of Silver Foil Sheets will allow you to create 12 cards. This may be one of those cards that you create in small numbers, and give to the *most* important people in your life. Here’s a different view of the card, allowing you to see the shimmer of the paper.
*Tip* These trees can be difficult to pop out of the die. Add a layer of parchment paper between the foil and your die and they will come out more easily.
I cannot take credit for this card design, as I CASEd it from a card that I saw on Pinterest, made by Cindy Elam. It is one of those cards that you see and just say ‘WOW’. Because really… it has a very minimalistic feel to it, but it is really pretty for holiday giving.
The Winter Woods stamp set and In the Woods Framelits are available separately, or you can purchase them as a bundle and save 10%. They will not be retiring at the beginning of January as they are carrying forward. However, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll be able to get them as a bundle with the 10% savings. Order yours before the discount disappears!
