3 Masculine Thank You & Birthday Cards

Happy Friday! Today I have 3 different masculine themed cards, for two different occasions. They’ve been hanging around my stamp room (and my dining room table) since before Christmas. At point I showed these online, and then things fell apart heading into the holiday season and they never made it onto the blog. Let’s have a quick look at all three, because there are elements on each that are retiring on May 2nd.

First up is a birthday card created with the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set. It is retiring on May 2nd, which is a shame because the large sentiments in the make it easy to create a fast card. The You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper is also retiring on that day.

I’m happy to say that the Timber 3D embossing folder, the Stitched Rectangles and the Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim are carrying over. Combined with this colour combination, all three suit masculine cards quite well.

Speaking of colour combinations, here is the Colour Chip for all three of today’s cards. Save this one, because it’s invaluable for manly cards. I will be adding it to the Colour Chip Resource Page as well for future reference.

Our second card is a thank you card created with the Sailing Home stamp set and coordinating Smooth Sailing dies. Both are retiring, along with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing folder. This may be the one item that I’m most disappointed is retiring. I use it ALL THE TIME.

Our final card today is another thank you, but I’m happy to tell you that the Biggest Wish stamp set is carrying through to the new catalogue. It was really, really popular when the current Annual Catalogue was released, and I still find myself pulling it off the shelf from time to time. The Bark 3D Embossing Folder, and the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (one of the best masculine packs I’ve ever seen) are retiring.
