3 days. 3 DAYS. That’s all the time you have left to order stamps that are retiring. Like this pretty pear that can be found in the Fresh Fruit stamp set. The set is a Two-Stamp set, which means that you stamp the base of the image, and then stamp again over top with a detailed stamp. In this case, the pear was stamped twice and the stem was stamped twice. As all four images were on four blocks, it took less than 30 seconds to achieve this look.
I posted a card last Thursday that featured a diagonal cut on it, and mentioned at the time that the look is very trendy right now. Continuing on this theme, this card is the reverse of that one, with the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper taking a much smaller role, and the pear dominating the card. I tend to put images like this on the right side of the card because this is where my eye is drawn when I’m looking at projects. I find the placement very appealing, but you can certainly play around with the layout and mix it up the way you want to. When we created this card at my monthly stamp class, I don’t think that ANY of them looked the same. I LOVE that! Creativity at its best.
I haven’t used the Big Shot very much recently, but I really like the embossed effect that was created with the Sparkle Embossing Folder, and the Stitched Shape Framelits set the pear off perfectly.
So, what did I use?
