It’s Valentine’s Day, and all around the world, people are celebrating their love for others. I am one of those people that believe we should share our love everyday, not just today, but hey. Florists and restaurants do a thriving business on Valentine’s Day, so who am I to judge! Today’s Heart Happiness card was CASE’d from an OnStage sample created by Angela Meiritz-Reid. I love the simplicity of it, and will give it to my husband later today; when we’re both home, which will be a challenge because skating doesn’t stop for this holiday.
The heart on this card was stamped with Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach ink. Anything involving flamingos, even if it’s just a colour, works well in my book so I’m not messing with it! To get this effect, ink up most of your stamp with Peekaboo Peach Classic ink, and then ink up the rest of the stamp in Flirty Flamingo, making sure to move the stamp slightly when tapping it to blur out the line between the two colours. Trust me on this. The heart that is on the back of this cardstock has a very distinct line on it. Stamp it on the cardstock and you’ll see a wonderfully muted heart.
The Heart Happiness stamp set can be found on page 20 of the Occasions Catalogue, and most of the hearts coordinate with either the Lots to Love Box Framelits, or the Sweet & Sassy Framelits – which I bought specifically to use with these stamps on my February Shadowbox Sampler.
I have most (all?) of the thank you stamp sets in the catalogue, because I give out a lot of thank you cards to clients. The sentiment on this card comes from the All Things Thanks set, and is meant to be stamped on the inside sentiment for a card. It coordinates with a larger thank you stamp, and both use this great font. I didn’t take a photo of the inside of the card, but I did stamp a bunch of cute hearts across one of the corners in both colours of ink. it’s kind of cute.
