Halloween treats for kids of all ages

Halloween is only a couple of weeks away, but it’s not too late to gather up your supplies to make some fantastic treat packaging that everyone will love.  I think that my own kids have been waiting patiently (or at least sort of patiently) for me to post these online so that they can eat them!  Only one of them is going out trick-or-treating this year, so I now have to consider making Halloween treats for kids of all ages, instead of just for younger kids.

Wendy's Little Inklings: Halloween treats for kids of all ages

The middle sized kid loves Candy Corn, and wants desperately to crack open the box so that he can munch on the stuff.  It doesn’t matter that it’s just solidified sugar with food colouring.  These cute boxes are 2″ square, and can hold a lot of treats if you stuff them full.  I have added a black cat to the front of one, and a simple tag to the other.

Isn’t the treat container below cute?  Test tubes filled with small candy will wow people every time, and these are so easy to make.

All of the tags were stamped using the Spooky Cat Stamp set, punched with the Everyday Label Punch, and tied on to the test tubes using Baker’s Twine or the delicate Vintage Crochet Trim.

The Treat Tubes themselves are easy to fill, and come with a cork to seal the top.  I have added a piece of Washi Tape to make sure that they stay sealed, because the corks do have a tendency to shrink/swell depending on the humidity in the air.

Am I going to tell the kids that they can dive into these treats?  Of course not.  They can wait until Halloween!
