Do YOU do something creative every day? I like to try, but sometimes my time is derailed by other things. I have been feeling extremely guilty for the past few days because I had a huge (and I mean HUGE!) pile of mulch delivered on Wednesday morning, and many things fell by the wayside while I was dealing with it.
Today’s card was cased from a card created by Brian King, and features the Crafting Forever stamp set. I love the colour scheme – Whisper White, Real Red, and Crumb Cake. It’s a colour combination that we see at Christmas, but it works very well on this card.
The sentiment is one that I would love to blow up and hang on the wall. Since that’s not easy to do, I may go for something a bit smaller, but something that will help remind everyone that I come in contact with that it is important to do something creative every day. We all love rubber stamping and paper crafts, but why limit ourselves? Bakers, stitchers, sewers, knitters, gardeners… they are all creative on a daily basis. Taking small steps helps to build your creativity, as well as your overall confidence in your craft, regardless of what it is.
Anyhow, back to the mulch. All 7 cubic yards of the stuff, and it wasn’t enough. Seriously.
Next up on the stupid long, non-Stampin’ Up! list of things to do is the painting of the trim and doors in the main living areas of the house. We painted the walls last summer, and I thought that I would be able to do the trim once the kids went back to school. That didn’t happen. Hopefully I’ll get it done before they finish school!
So, what did I use?
