It’s Friday, which means that it’s time for a Flirty Fabulous Flamingo Friday! Today I’m sharing a flirty, splattered, wet bird that is kind of artsy, and kind of not. I have pulled out my Fabulous Flamingo stamp set again, because I had this thought in my head yesterday morning that I just had to try out for today’s card.
Do you see what I mean when I say that he’s a flirty, splattered and wet bird? Flirty Flamingo is definitely my go-to colour right now for the birds. I added some pink and black splatters to him, and have added some silver and rhinestones to give him a fun sheen.
The wet part of this card (well, it’s dry now), came from the actual stamping. I spritzed the watercolour paper with water, probably 6-7 spritzes, which was enough to soak the area but not have water running off of it. The second layer of the 3-layer image was already inked up, and ready to go. Once the paper was spritzed, I immediately stamped the image onto it. I then picked up the base flamingo stamp, inked it in Flirty Flamingo, stamped it off once, spritzed it with water, and stamped it down. Its ink didn’t spread as much as the ink from the larger stamp, but it filled in the missing spaces without dousing it with colour.
So, what did I use?
