Woo! It’s Fabulous Flamingo Friday again! What a great way to start the weekend. Today’s project is one that I created for my Team Leader, who recently had surgery. Because she lives on the other side of the city, I wanted to send a Get Well card to her, and bring a smile to her face. Flamingos do that! They bring smiles to the faces of everyone I know. Probably because they think of the loony flamingo lady they happen to purchase their stamps from.
Anyhoo, Jenn is a wonderful mentor and a source of inspiration to everyone that she meets. It’s only appropriate that she receive a Big Pink Bird card, because these are reserved for the best sort of people.
I was hunting for a ‘get well’ sentiment, and realized that I don’t have very many. Fortunately Teeny Tiny Wishes came to the rescue with a sentiment that was THE perfect size for the card. Once I stamped and punched it out, I attached it to a sticky note and punched the ends off so that it was slightly shorter than the Pool Party card stock that is right behind it. An easy way to give it a different mat.
One last note… I added a bit of ‘water’ to the inside of the card, just so that it wasn’t completely plain. Fun and easy!
