Papillon Potpourri & Tin of Cards

*originally posted on 4/26/17*

Colour combinations are one of the first things to be considered when creating a card.  The colour combination of Tip Top Taupe (retiring on May 31) and Flirty Flamingo with Whisper White creates a dynamic yet calming look to the eye.
Today’s card, cased by one created by Sue Lehrer, uses this combination along with two retiring stamp sets and one that is being carried over to the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.  Tin of Cards (R) provides the perfect sized sentiment, while Papillon Potpourri (R) provides the pretty butterfly image that is punched using the retiring Elegant Butterfly Punch.  I love how the circles in the background (courtesy of Timeless Textures) simulate the butterfly’s movements across the card.
