Painter’s Palette Birthday Stripes

*originally posted on 8/31/16*

Inspired in part by paint chips, this card was created using one of the big swooshes in Painter’s Palette.  The original tag, that is still hanging around the “scraps I need to do something with” bin used the longer swooshy (I love the word ‘swoosh’) stamp from Sheltering Tree, but when I was putting the card together I realized that it would be better with this stamp.

This is another one of those cards that would work well for the dude in your life.  Now, there *is* a bit of ribbon on it, but it’s blue, and there isn’t any visible bling on the card.  Better yet, there are staples!  I’m a big fan of banners, so adding these to the side balance out the heaviness of the left side of the swooshes.
The colours on this card are: Dapper Denim, Marina Mist, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Cucumber Crush.  As always, the full “recipe” for the card can be found attached to its picture in the Gallery.   Have a look through them, and maybe they’ll inspire you.  Happy Stamping!
