Mixed Drinks: So fruity!

*originally posted on 4/24/17*

Mixed Drinks is one of those sets that gives you endless possibilities when creating cards for friends.  We created this card at one of my monthly classes, and it’s just perfect for spring birthdays.  It also uses one of the stamps from Gorgeous Grunge as its background, which is happy and sad because I love this stamp set, use it a lot, and it’s retiring at the end of this catalogue period.
(Which means you had better add it to your collection if you don’t own it because it is a MUST HAVE set.)

Rather than stamp the drink as something easily identifiable as alcoholic, I chose to create a fun fluffy kind of drink.  After this weekend’s stampede to Starbucks, maybe I should call it a Unicorn Frap?  The drink is stamped and fussy cut, with a bit of watercolour pencilling for shading.  It is CASE’d from a card that I found on Pinterest, originally created by Monika Davis.
