Lovely as a Tree under a gentle snowfall

*originally posted on 10/28/16*

As you may have noticed, I really like two kinds of cards:  those that are clean, simple and easy to recreate, and those that look difficult, but aren’t.  Today’s card falls into the second category, which elicited a bunch of WOWs when I showed the ladies how to create it.  Thanks to Krista Hogenboom, one of my team members who created the original card and showed me the steps to follow.

This card combines masking and brayered embossing, both of which are fabulous techniques on their own.  Lovely as a Tree is the true “must have” set from the catalogue, and when combined with a sentiment, works perfectly on this card.  We used the Softly Falling embossing folder to create the snowfall, which I love!
While this finished sample is a birthday card (and would be perfect for that manly man who has a winter birthday), you could easily add a Christmas sentiment to make a holiday card.

Happy Stamping!
