Happy Black Friday everyone! I’m not braving the crowds today, but will be stepping out later this afternoon to buy a couch. Yes, a couch. I’ve been coveting on at Urban Barn for weeks, and it’s 20% off today. Will it be here by the holidays? Probably not, but we’ll survive. I have a pretty Carols of Christmas & Peace on Earth card, along with a flamingo, because it’s Flamingo Friday! I haven’t made any Christmas flamingo cards yet, but give it time. They won’t be all Stampin’ Up! because I have some great flamingo Christmas stamps, but they will be cute nonetheless.
First off, today’s beauty.
And now, the card, since that’s what you came for (although the flamingo is a close second!)
Moira Sands created today’s card, which has a great sheen to it courtesy of the metallic thread and foil papers. The card also has wonderful dimension to it with the die cut pieces, ribbon, thread, and sentiment that is popped up with dimensionals.
The background on the card was created using a background stamp, but you could use the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper. It is a lighter weight, and you would need to take greater care when sponging the sides, but it is good alternative to using the Sheet Music Background stamp.
