Good morning stamping peeps! It’s almost December, which means that we have hit busy season. I’ve been neglectful of my blog for the past couple of days because I haven’t had time to sit down in front of my computer, and didn’t have time on the weekend to load the posts for the week. Crazy eh? So, because I missed a couple of days, I’m posting 2 cards today, featuring Happy Birthday Gorgeous AND Hearts Come Home.
Tomorrow marks the first day of December, and our Holiday catalogue retired list will be posted online. It’s always fun to see what will carry over into the new year. It’s also the first day that Demonstrators can pre-order their new products from the Occasions catalogue, and earn Sale-a-Bration products! If you want to be able to do this too, we need to chat. Without further ado, here’s the first card for today. It was created by Laura Seki, and is such a pretty card to look at. Traditional “snow” colours of Night of Navy and Whisper White are perfect for this card.
The best part about this card? When you open it up, you discover that the front is actually an opening into the inside of the card. That and there’s lots of glitter on the buildings, snow and trees. The sentiment was embossed using silver embossing powder, with extra rhinestones for sparkle. When the card is closed, the sun really catches the sparkle of it. To create the opening, Laura used one of the Lots of Labels Framelits. Perfect!
Our second card comes to us courtesy of Jacqueline Cameron. She has used the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set to create a simple yet stunning card that is easy to replicate. To recreate the focal piece, stamp the sentiment on a scrap piece of Whisper White paper, and then punch using the Pretty Label punch. Punch a second piece, and then cut it in half for the frame.
The combination of Fresh Fig and Pear Pizzazz helps to create a pretty card that is perfect for any occasion – just change up the sentiment. The Layered Leaves embossing folder was used for the background, with a piece Fresh Fig 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon on the front.
No supply list today. It would be long, and I’m a tad short on time. It’s 26 days until Christmas, and I *need* to re-paint my family room before the new couch arrives in a couple of weeks. The key is that the ceiling needs to be painted. I’m not dropping paint on my new couch! I’ll tape the drop clothes to my walls if I have to, an in effort to protect the lovely new flooring.
Come back tomorrow to see the Holiday Catalogue retiring list. Until then, happy stamping, paper crafting, painting… Cheers!
Over the years I have become better at combining and experimenting with colour. It all…
