Add a little twist to Birthday Wit

When playing with Birthday Wit a few days ago, I decided to CASE the card in the Occasions catalogue, and then upgrade it with just a few extra touches.  I did find that it’s easy to add a little twist to this Birthday Wit card.  I just needed to add some ribbon, and pop up the sentiment.  The original card is one layer, with stamping across the bottom corner and rhinestones added for sparkle.

Adding a bit of ribbon and popping up the sentiment by stamping it on scrap cardstock and fussy cutting takes it up a level.  Now, it’s not really fussy cutting because this one is super easy to cut out.  We just call it fussy cutting.

The colour scheme was changed up to our current In Colours, with Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Bliss and Powder Pink added to the card.  Just for fun, the rhinestones were placed inside of the starbursts.
Wendy's Little Inklings: January Host Code

I’m running away again… time to walk the dog, and head to the dentist and grocery store.  I also have to dig out the street drains around the house before the rain begins to fall tomorrow.  I’m not liking this week’s weather.  Between the massive temperature swings, yesterday’s snow and the impending weekend storm, it’s a bit challenging.  I’d rather not have a January thaw, and just live with the colder weather.  Well, at least it gives me a reason to hide in my stamping studio this weekend – and maybe add more of a twist to Birthday Wit!
