One of the first bundles that I was drawn to in the catalogue was the At Home with You Bundle. There are certain images that I’m drawn to, regardless of whether they are stamped, photographed, painted, stitched, and I love houses and doors (and trees, quilts and flamingos!)
The At Home with You stamp set, and coordinating At Home Framelits make it easy to create an inviting front door on your card. The majority of the samples that I have seen so far all feature some type of colouring, but I decided to cut mine from the super-awesome Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack. Once it was stamped, I ran it through the Big Shot three times: once to cut the overall frame of the door, once to cut out the windows (there’s a die for that!), and once to cut the actual door itself. The third die only cuts on three edges, so that you can fold the door on the side where you would expect hinges.
The lanterns and planters were coloured in with Stampin’ Write markers, and while I like the look, I will change it up next time and use lighter colours. But I’ll still keep the wood panelled door. It looks fabulous!
One last note – all of the sentiments in this stamp set fit behind the door. I have Happy Birthday behind this one, but did I think to take a picture of the open door? Nooooo!
So, what did I use?
*Note* The At Home with You Bundle is 10% off the price of buying the stamps and framelits separately. The bundle is $64.75 (145351).
