Good news! The Daisy Punch is back in stock, but it may only be here for a little while because everyone LOVES this punch! We created a very cute card during last week’s stamp classes that uses this punch, and we’ve added a little bit of extra colour using Watercolour Pencils and an Aqua Painter.
When I was designing this card, I thought that it looked a little plain with just Daffodil Delightful card stock and the stamped centres. I decided to use my Daffodil Delight pencil to colour near the centres of the daisies, and then use an Aqua Painter to draw the colour towards the tips of the flowers. It gives is a monochromatic look without stamping the larger daisy stamp from Daisy Delight onto the punched flowers.
The centres and leaves were stamped using the Daisy Delight stamp set. For the centres, I stamped the solid circle first in Daffodil Delight, and then added the Chocolate Chip centre on top. You can’t see too much of the ink beneath, but it does make a difference in the overall look. The stems were curved slightly because the stamp set is photopolymer, and you can do this. Love it!
One last note… although the card stock on the base is Crumb Cake, the Hardwood stamp was inked in Sahara Sand, and stamped off before it was stamped onto the card. It gives it a really rustic look, and is light enough that it doesn’t overwhelm the overall card.
